The ultimate camping experience! On the borders of Hertfordshire and Essex this site offers you a chance for a wilderness adventure with a camping, back to nature experience.

Embrace Mother Nature in this rugged, natural setting nestled among mature woodland and a grassy glade surrounded by water on three sides. With limited facilities and none of the trappings of more commercial campsites, you’ll be able to camp out under the stars, hang a hammock from the trees and enjoy an open fire in a fire pit.

Enjoy this hidden gem of a site with it’s 12 riverside and five woodland pitches. There’s also a minimum age to stay at the campsite, 12 years old, not quite adult only but nearly.

What we mean by almost wild camping...

  • Solar powered, motion sensor lights around the toilets limit light pollution

  • Composting toilets

  • Cold water tap

Make a booking

The easiest way to find out the total cost of your holiday is to click on book now and input your dates and choices. You’ll be shown availability and a price, including any extras for your holiday.

Check out our prices and season calendar.

T&Cs apply to all bookings made.

Make the most of your time at the site whether you choose to explore the local nature reserves and parks on foot, or hire a bike or canoe and explore from a different perspective. There’s even white water rafting a few miles away if you’d like to ramp up the adrenalin.

Have a question?

Like can I forage for food (no we’d rather you didn’t) or is there electricity on the site (no it’s a back to nature site) – then check out our frequently asked questions or contact us to know more.
