Parking at our open spaces

Car park tariffs apply at several car parks in and around River Lee Country Park. These are managed by two separate organisations with two sets of charges.

From 5 July 2021 our car parking tariffs in and around River Lee Country Park will be changing. Rather than two different charging structures (which we had before), the charges will be the same throughout our open spaces car parks as well as being consistent with other car parks in the area. We are also introducing car park tariffs at our Turnford Brook Car Park.

The additional funds generated from the increased parking charge revenues will go towards the increased cost of managing our open spaces, which over the past 12 months has seen a large increase in visitors resulting in damage to sites and high litter levels and, on occasions, anti-social behaviour.

Car parking tariffs are also payable at Lee Valley White Water Centre. The annual car parking permits are not valid at this venue. To find out more about car parking charges at Lee Valley White Water Centre, please click here.

Methods of payments for day tickets

You can pay for your parking tariff in four ways at the end of your visit:

  • At the payment machine in the car park - all of our machines are card only due to constant vandalism of those which took cash. If the machines are not operating, please note charges still apply and an alternative method of payment should be used. You have until midnight on the day you park to pay for your ticket on line if you're unable to pay whilst on site - you'll need the site location code to do this (see car park list above for location codes)

  • good2go - ParkingEye's prepayment system. Register your car and payment details then don't worry about payment again - find out more and sign up online. See good2go's frequently asked questions

  • Online at paybyphone.co.uk – there’s an extra administration fee for using this service however you'll still only pay the advertised fee for parking as the Authority covers the administration cost. Find out more about how it works here

  • By phone 0330 400 7275 - there’s an extra administration fee for using this service however you'll still only pay the advertised fee for parking as the Authority covers the administration cost
