Myddelton House Gardens is the hidden gem in the crown of North London gardens. The life-long home of E A Bowles was a recipient of the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2011 and restored to tell the story of the famous botanist’s life and gardening style.
Each season brings with it magic and wonder. Grounds in winter and in spring carpeted of Crocus and drapes of Wisteria flowers take centre stage. In the summer the kitchen garden offers bountiful yields and colourful cut flower beds. In autumn we watch in awe as the autumn colour offers red, orange and golden hues.
The curiosities don’t stop there. Among the gardens are artefacts of local and national interest such as a part of Old London Bridge and the Enfield Market Cross. In the 8 acre gardens, you’ll find a range of different worlds to explore for the bountiful heritage Kitchen Garden, the Pond Terrace and the last resting place of E A Bowles, the Rock Garden.
