Get ready for family fun with Qi Wu! Enjoy a mix of Chinese fan dance, tai chi and qigong. Saturdays, 10:00 - 11:15, 22 August - 10 October.

Qi Wu or Chinese Fan Dance involves practising Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) through dance movements set to traditional Chinese music. It is more free-flowing, unconstrained by the rigid routines of traditional Qigong. It retains the fundamental health benefits of the practice (using breath and movement to cultivate energy), while incorporating the graceful rhythms of dance. Qi Wu fosters both physical and mental wellbeing and joy in movement!

It reflects a new accessible approach to exercise first promoted in China, and appeals to people of all ages. It is particularly accessible to families - children, parents and grandparents can enjoy Qi Wu together.

Fans will be provided, so please let us know how many children and adults are included in your ticket.

Sessions are weekly, on Saturdays, 10:00 - 11:15, outdoors in the green space beside Lee Valley Ice Centre.Sessions will go indoors in wet weather.
