Why is saving see important? How do we know when they are ready for collection? What are the easiest ways to process seeds at home? Seed saving is an essential part of environmental stewardship. During this session we will answer all these questions and more as we collect seeds from the plants growing on our industrial estate! This session part of our Urban Plant Study Series: Curious about the plants that grow in urban spaces? Join our Biodiversity Officer as we discover the communties of plant life growing on our urban riverbanks and verges. You will learn basic ID and recording skills, as well as meet likeminded plant lovers! Plant ID books and hand lenses provided. Please wear weather appropriate walking shoes and clothes. We will be using iNaturalist app to record our findings. If you would like to be involved, we reccomend downloading this free tool on your smartphone in advance.
