Join us for a Presentation by Peter White “The River Beane and Other Chalk Streams.”

Peter has been a conservation volunteer since 1987, with experience and knowledge in and around the chalk rivers of North Hertfordshire. More recently, Peter became Chair of the River Beane Restoration Association in 2023. ‘The River Beane: a habitat rarer than rainforest, and just as fragile’. Peter will explain this bold claim while considering what makes the rivers of Hertfordshire so very special, the threats they face and what we can all do to help protect them.
