Bird Survey

Welcome to our monthly bird survey! 

What to expect:

 - A short talk on a bird species or bird-related topic each week. 

- A guided transect survey of the whole site.

 - Help with identifying birds visually and by birdsong. 

-The data collected will help us develop the Paddock into a Local Nature Reserve. 

- By booking onto multiple sessions you’ll gain a deeper understanding of seasonal cycles, and improve your I.D. skills. 

Pre-booking is essential, book now to confirm a place. Please be aware Eventbrite booking closes one day before each surveying event at 5pm. 

If you have to cancel your place for any reason, please get in touch via thepaddock@tcv.org.uk or by the contact numbers below to let us know. 

What to bring: You will be issued with a field recording sheet, species guide sheets, a clipboard and a pencil. If you own a pair of binoculars and further ID guides/books, you are welcome to bring them along. Individual surveys will run outdoors for about an hour, please be sure to check the weather/temperature and dress accordingly
