Lady A

Lady A is a 57 ft by 10ft widebeam moored in Springfield Marina, East London (E5). 

She is comfortable and spacious, with lovely views, and all the facilities you need for boat living on a marina and when cruising. 

She has a surprising amount of space and storage for a boat; and a large front deck for sitting out. 

Springfield Marina on the River Lea is an idyllic setting with an incredible community. Surrounded by trees, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy (swans, geese, coots, heron, little grebe…even the occasional otter!). 

The marina is full of lots of brilliant and interesting people, and there’s a clubhouse, with a very affordable bar, which hosts lots of community events. 

There’s also a toilet and shower block, washing machines and dryers. You can buy wood, coal and other boating essentials from the marina office.

Lady A was built in 2005 by Price Fellows and Co. 

Boat Safety Certificate valid until March 2029. 

Fitted with a 4-cylinder John Deere engine. The engine was serviced in Spring 2024 and checked in 2026, when all filters were replaced and oil changed. New starter batteries in 2026 and leisure batteries in 2024. Powered by mains electric hook up when moored in the marina. Also, fitted with an inboard generator, serviced 2026. This is not needed when moored in the marina but great when cruising. Last out the water and hull blacked in June 2024. All exterior repainted summer 2025. Engine bay and gas lockers treated and repainted 2024. The water pump was replaced in 2023. Last surveyed in 2021. Survey was good, and can be viewed by potential buyers.

Living area: The boat has an open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area with large windows giving views over the marina and across the water to Springfield Park. Built in dining area with benches containing lots of storage. Table and benches convert into a double bed. Built in bookcases and cupboards. Multi-fuel squirrel stove, refurbished winter 2023/24. Gas stove and oven, serviced in February 2026. Fridge. Space and fittings for a washing machine. 

Bathroom: Shower Compost toilet Sink Hot water tank, which also acts as airing cupboard and storage. Electric immersion hot water, which can be put on a timer. When cruising water is heated automatically. Large cupboard Bedroom: Port holes for a darker sleeping space Large built in wardrobe Plenty of space for a double bed, and could be rearranged to include a desk too Door through to Engine room Engine room: Plenty more storage here for boat or household things.
