Tackle mountain bike trails in London
Our mountain bike trails are great for riders of a range of ages and abilities, so get your friends and family together to tackle the terrain!
Lee Valley VeloPark is the training and meeting venue of choice for a large number of clubs. If you would like to register your club's interest please contact general enquiries.
How can I experience the mountain bike trails?
Skills sessions and pay and ride sessions will allow you to tackle these mountain bike trails which stretch around Lee Valley VeloPark.
What should I wear?
For mountain bike riding it is mandatory to wear a cycling helmet.
We recommend the following:
Pads, gloves, cycling glasses. Legs, upper body and arms should be fully covered at all times.
Two layers of clothing (preferably close fitting) on your upper body.
Can I cycle when pregnant?
Unfortunately we do not allow women who are pregnant to cycle any of our tracks or circuits whilst pregnant.
For coached sessions you must arrive at least 30 minutes before your session is due to start.
Riders must be capable of riding without stabilisers to use the mountain bike trails.
Children aged 11 and under must be accompanied by one parent / guardian to two children.
Children aged 12 and over do not require parent/ guardian supervision but this is recommended.
Children under 18 participating in any sessions e.g. General Taster Sessions, Youth Taster Sessions, skills sessions, pay and ride must bring a signed Parental/Guardian Consent Form with them to be able to participate in their session.
Should the child be participating in a ‘coached’ session the parent/guardian should remain in the area indicated by the coach during the safety briefing and/or follow meeting instructions given.
Equipment hire: Taster sessions include bike and helmet hire, all other sessions do not include any equipment (unless otherwise specified) - you can hire equipment (bike/helmet) from the venue but you will require personal identification and proof of address (utility, bank or other statements must be less than three months old).
Riders are required to wear helmets and safety equipment while cycling on any of the four circuits at Lee Valley VeloPark. Where this is not included in the session cost you may hire a helmet from the venue. The helmet must be worn correctly at all times when with a bike. If you wish to bring your own it must meet the current UK safety standard - BS EN 1078:1997.
