Family Have a Go
Experience the basics of learning to ride as a family.
Price: £26 per person
Age: 5 years and above. Adults must weigh under 76kg.
Timings: 30 minute sessions on Monday 25 October and Friday 29 October - 12:00 and 12:30
In our Family Have a Go sessions, you'll learn the basics of riding to how to mount a horse to walking with confidence in a safe and calm environment. These sessions allow for children and adults to learn together.
Bookings will open two weeks in advance and can only be made online. Spaces are limited, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
These sessions are available in school holidays only.

Clothing requirements: All children need to be suitably dressed for riding. They'll need to wear strong closed toe shoes with a small heel. Trainers and high heels may not be worn for safety reasons. They should wear loose fitting or stretchy trousers; jeans tend to rub. No jewellery should be worn, and long hair should be tied back into a low ponytail so that it doesn’t prevent a hard hat from fitting correctly.
Hats are supplied by the Lee Valley Riding Centre at no extra cost – all riders must wear one.
The Lee Valley Riding Centre has a weight limit of 13 stone which is strictly adhered to at all times.
Riding at any level has an inherent risk and all horses may react unpredictably on occasions
