Keeping you safe at Lee Valley VeloPark
Throughout the Coronavirus outbreak, keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe has been our top priority.
To help ensure everyone’s safety we need you to follow these instructions.
NHS Test and Trace
When visiting our venues you must check in with the NHS Test and Trace app as required by Government guidelines. Scan the QR code on the NHS Test and Trace poster which is displayed where you arrive and then complete you details. If you don’t have a smart phone or you run into any problems our staff are on hand to help. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Booking and coming to the site
Please book and pay in advance using our online booking system, this will help minimise any queues at the venue. BMX, MTB, road pay and ride can only be booked on the actual day of riding or the day before. Velodrome and BMX sessions MUST be booked online, please do not turn up without advanced booking
We'll process payments on the day but by card only, this does not apply to all programmed track sessions
If you come as part of a small group please only send one person inside to pay
Please arrive ready to take part in your session as currently all our changing rooms are closed
Face coverings are mandatory for all customers when entering the venue’s reception, shop and catering outlet. They can be removed if instructed by a member of staff so that activities can be undertaken and for consuming food
If you or anyone in your household is experiencing any signs of illness do not come to Lee Valley VeloPark
You must maintain social distancing practices between yourself and others at all times
Hand sanitiser will be available on site
Keeping VeloStudio safe and clean is vital to providing a COVID secure experience for all of our users. When using the facilities you MUST follow the equipment cleaning regime that’s in place. If users fail to clean the equipment after their use we'll need to close the studio on safety grounds
When parking, make sure you park far enough away from anyone else to avoid contact with other people. If other people are nearby, please wait for them to go before you get out of your car
Do not arrive more than 10 minutes before you intend to start cycling for a pay and ride session
Do not arrive more than 30 minutes before a coached velodrome track session
Do not arrive more than 15 minutes before a coached kids session
Spectating is not possible for velodrome track sessions
Changing rooms, vending machines and our cafe are all closed
You'll only be able to access the reception area of the building to sign in and pay only
There'll be a limited number of individual toilets available accessible from the external corridor only
Please bring only what you need for your activity. Take everything home that you bring. Please don’t litter
If parking within the car park remember to correctly enter your vehicle’s registration number into Parkingeye terminals by the entrance of the road circuit and MTB tunnel gates to obtain four hours free parking from the time you entered the car park
During your activity
Follow directional signage on the road circuit and mountain bike trails
On the road circuit stay to the inner edge of the circuit to allow faster riders to safely overtake you on the right and prevent riders bunching up together
On the mountain bike trails, stop and take a short break if you are coming close to another cyclist
Follow any instructions given to you by members of our staff
Try to minimise touching anything other your own equipment
Leaving the site
When you finish your activity, please leave the venue straight away
Take care in the car park and, if there are people near your car, wait for them to go before you get into yours. Just as with your activity, don’t have social gatherings in the car park
Ensure you have entered your vehicle’s registration before leaving to obtain the four hours free parking
Our staff
There'll be staff around the cycle routes ensuring safe cycling practices are being observed and social distancing is being maintained
They’ll be social distancing at all times and will stand back if they need to speak with you
You'll be issued with a wrist band that can be attached to your helmet, staff can easily see this and it stops us having to stop you to check you have paid
