Wild Wednesdays - Terrific Trees

Our 'Wild Wednesday' family events take place every Wednesday during the school holidays.

Natures giants the trees are terrific and what better way to to celebrate this by making friends with a tree, giving them faces of their own using clay and natural objects, take part in scavenger hunts and art and craft activities.

Essential Info


  • Tickets are only required for participating children aged 4-12. Accompanying adults are free

  • There is no need to pay at the car park as long as you ensure to give your registration to staff on the day

  • Activities will take place both outside and inside, therefore please dress appropriately for the weather and ground conditions on the day

  • Indoor activities will take place within the Abbey Farmhouse, adjacent to the Olive Branch Cafe

  • Please note participant's push chairs and wheelchairs will need to navigate grass areas

  • All children must be accompanied by an adult

Getting there

By train: the nearest station is Waltham Cross on the Liverpool Street line (20 minute walk)

By bus: the 251 goes from the station to the town

By car: Waltham Abbey is a 5 minute drive from the M25 (J26)


Pre-booking is recommended for Wild Wednesdays activities as there are limited spaces for each event. By booking online you will receive a 10% discount! There will be a limited number of spaces available on the day. Adults are FREE
