Six Day London 2019
Phynova Six Day London is back for its fifth edition, taking place on Tuesday 22nd to Sunday 27th October 2019.
The worlds best riders will hit the boards of the Lee Valley VeloPark to take on the toughest test in track cycling. Spanning six days of gruelling competition our elite riders will battle it out across a range of high speed and endurance disciplines, all set to a party atmosphere backdrop. At a Six Day event we turn the lights down and the music up as our track centre DJ keeps the tunes spinning throughout the racing, creating one of the best atmosphere's in sports.
Six Day Racing can be traced back to 1878, where the concept began as a wager between two gentleman of London. When David Stanton rode 1000 miles in six days at Islington Agricultural Hall, winning £100 in the process, few would have guessed the journey Six Day racing would go on. The Six Day phenomenon lived on into the 20th and the 21st centuries, with Eddy Merckx, Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggings riding the roads in the summer and cutting there teeth at 'Sixes' across the continent during the winter months.
Six Day London is a event like no other, so don't miss out and enjoy the excitement!
