A Walk in the Park - Northern Discovery

Join Lee Valley Rangers to explore some of the hidden gems the north of the park has to offer in the surroundings of Stansted Innings.

Tucked away by the quiet Hertfordshire village of Stanstead Abbots, Stanstead Innings comprises three wild flower meadows, three lakes and a wet woodland area.

With regular breaks this scenic yet leisurely walk is great to help keep fit, socialize and meet like minded people and learn more about this fantastic landscape.

Essential info

  • There is limited parking, please arrive early

  • Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead

  • Meeting Point at Stanstead Innings

  • Bring some refreshments and a snack to keep yourself energized

Top tips

  • Please wear comfortable clothing as the walk can take up to two hours

  • Please also wear appropriate shoes as the route can get muddy

Getting here

By bus: routes C3, 351 and 524, Abbotts Rise bus stop (5 minute walk)

By train: the nearest station is St. Margarets on the Liverpool Street line (15 minute walk)

By car: Stanstead Innings is accessed via Marsh Lane from the B181
