Pest and Diseases, Treat and Avoid


Join our Head Gardener Richard Harmes at Myddelton House Gardens for a coffee and cake. Coffee mornings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month. Included will be a talk given by the Head Gardener on what do in the gardens during the calendar month with a focus on some specific topics that could help you get the very best from your garden.

Visitors are invited to join our Head Gardener in the dining hall at Myddelton House. Here you will be offered Tea or Coffee and a slice of cake whilst having a chat with the Head gardener about Late Spring in the garden, jobs to do and what to look out for. This is followed by a topical talk from the Head Gardener. The subject for this month is ‘Pests and Diseases, Treat and Avoid’

Facilities onsite

  • There is chargeable parking onsite at Myddelton House

  • There are toilets located behind the cafe outdoor seating area

  • Enjoy a hot drink and bite to eat in the Visitor Centre and don't go without visiting the E A Bowles museum

Getting here

By rail: we're a 15 minute walk from Turkey Street on the Liverpool Street line. Turn right out of the station, continuing under the subway and up to the end of Turkey Street.

By bus: the nearest bus stop is on the A10 at Turkey street. Leave the bus at this stop and we're a 10 minute walk up Turkey Street. Bus No's 217, 317, 617, 629 and 327.

By car: from M25 J25 take the Southbound A10 signposted London.  At the next junction (Bullsmoor Lane) take the right lane filter turning right into Bullsmoor Lane. Take the first exit at the mini roundabout  into Bulls Cross (The Pied Bull Pub is on the right) then continue.  Myddelton House Gardens can be found on the right hand side directly opposite the junction with Turkey Street.
