British Rafting’s IRF Euro Cup (British Open)

British Rafting’s annual British Open (International Rafting Federation Euro Cup) will see teams from across Europe compete in order to be crowned the 2020 British Open Champions.
Teams of four athletes will compete in three disciplines on the challenging Olympic course:
Sprint - the fastest team from start to finish.
Slalom - very similar to canoe slalom but with four heads needing to navigate the series of up and down gates.

Head-to-Head - the spectacular discipline where teams compete in a round robin knock out competition where full contact is permitted! Teams must navigate two buoys in a series of four (one left and one right) whilst maintaining speed and agility over their competitors. You can expect a lot of thrills and likely some spills in this discipline.Points are added up across the disciplines to determine the overall winners.

The competition is open to any teams who can demonstrate competence on the challenging white water of the LVWWC Olympic Course. We expect to see strong teams from European nations taking on some of our own GB champion teams.
It is free to spectate and we encourage anyone on site to say hello to teams and organisers - we’re happy to share our love of rafting and let you know how to get involved.
