Meet Team GBs Canoe Slalom Olympic Medallists - Photo and Autograph Sessions
After another great Olympics for the GB Team we welcome them back following the Rio 2016 success and give you the opportunity to meet the GB canoe slalom quartet Joe Clarke, David Florence, Richard Hounslow and Fiona Pennie during this weekend of paddlesport!
Joe Clarke delivered a breathtaking run at his first Olympics in Rio becoming the men's K1 Olympic champion, winning Team GB's second gold of the games.
Following silver in the 2012 London Olympic Games, Team GB duo David Florence and Richard Hounslow did another great performance in Rio bagging the silver spot once again.
Fiona Pennie came a respectable sixth place in the women's K1 finals, her best Olympic result yet, setting her up for an amazing bronze medal at the World Cup Finals held in Slovenia!
Each session will last approximately 30 minutes, giving you the chance to meet and greet, get photographs and autographs with these inspirational athletes. The times for the sessions are:
Saturday 17 September – 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00
Sunday 18 September - 10:30, 11:00 and 14:00
Clarke, Florence and Hounslow will not be competing in this weekend’s British Open but Fiona Pennie will be in action, alongside other international athletes from the British team.
Make sure you don't miss a chat show held with the athletes on Saturday at 19:00, talking about their first hand Olympic experiences on Lee Valley White Water Centre's terrace over looking the Olympic course.
White Water Weekender
