Bringing visitors closer to wildlife with a new Bittern Information Point and bird hide
Lee Valley Regional Park Authority is delighted to announce the development of a new Bittern Information Point and bird hide.
Due to open in summer 2020, visitors will be able to get closer than ever to the diverse wildlife that makes Seventy Acres lake its home throughout the year.
The new facilities will include a viewing tower which provides 360 degree views and a completely different perspective to watch wildlife, as well as a two tier viewing platform inside the hide to offer enhanced viewing angles and photography. There will also be a discovery centre as part of the new structure where a CCTV system will provide stunning up close footage, along with a new nest box camera.
Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to enjoy the current hide as building works aren’t due to start until spring 2020.
