Walthamstow BioBlitz : Wildlife on the Marshes
Take a walk with us around the beautiful Walthamstow Marshes exploring its wide variety of butterflies, birds, moths and dragonflies. This event is part of a series of nature walks where participants will be encouraged to record their wildlife sightings and contribute to the London City Nature Challenge 2019.
The meeting point for this walk will be Walthamstow Marshes
If you have a pair of binoculars bring them along
The site may be wet underfoot so please wear wellies or waterproof boots
We would advise that this event is suitable for adults and interested children from 8+ are welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult
There is ample parking at Lee Valley Ice Centre. Please note car parking charges apply
Due to steps and steep slopes you will need to be reasonably mobile to follow the route
If possible please download the FREE iNaturalist app in advance so you can record your observations over the weekend.
