Conservation Volunteering Task - Spring Clean & General Maintenance
Join the Lee Valley Ranger Team for the day and help your local neighborhood with this great volunteering opportunity.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with general maintenance and a bit of spring cleaning at Walthamstow Marsh.
Enjoy a day in the fresh air whilst doing your bit for the environment!
Meeting place: Lee Valley Ice Centre car park, Lea Bridge Road, E10 7QL
Please bring suitable clothing, footwear, a packed lunch and bottle of water for the day. Extra refreshments will be provided
You will have a site induction followed by training on safe use of the tools you will be using on the day
Age restrictions - 16+
Free parking is available for volunteers on the day. Please remember to provide your car registration to the onsite member of staff upon arrival
Most tasks are completed by 15:00. You are invited to stay with us all day, but any time you can spare will make a huge difference!
Please note: every effort is made to ensure that the programme will remain unchanged. However due to unforeseen circumstances this may not always be possible
By train: the nearest train station is Lea Bridge or Clapton on the Liverpool Street line (both 10 minute walk)
By bus: buses 48, 55 and 56 stop on Lea Bridge Road just outside Lee Valley Ice Centre
By car: the centre is just off the A104 Lea Bridge Road and there is car parking available. You must give your vehicle registration to the onsite member of staff to be eligible for the free parking.
