Bittern Roost Watch
Join us to find out about these elusive birds and the work happening in the Lee Valley to conserve them. We may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of an elusive Bittern coming into roost in the reed beds from the comfort of the Bittern Information Point.
This event is run as a part of the Hertfordshire Bittern Action Plan. Events like this are taking place across the county to promote Bitterns and their conservation.
Please note the meeting point has changed for this event, we will now be meeting at Hooks Marsh car park. This is due to an unforeseen bridge closure at Fishers Green. There will be a 15 minute walk from the hide and back.
Please bring a torch with you as it will be dark by the time we get back to the car park.
No experience of bird watching is necessary; staff and volunteers will be on hand to point out the birds
Please bring binoculars if you have them
Wrap up well, it can get chilly and there will be a certain amount of waiting around in the hide
