Have a wild time
At Lee Valley Park Farms near Waltham Abbey kids can get up close and personal with an amazing array of animals. They’ll love the cuddly sheep and snuffly rare breed pigs, the llamas, reindeer and whole family of charming meerkats.
Plus with imaginative play spaces it’s a brilliant place to run wild too. From toddlers to school age kids, they can let off steam on the giant bouncing pillow, scale a spider tower, dig in the sand, explore Piglet’s Paradise and ride the combine harvester.There’s also
a working dairy farm just a short stroll or tractor trailer ride away, where you can see how a real farm works and how the cows and calves are cared for.

A specially created play space encourages kids to play with imagination in a safe, natural environment. The emphasis is on physical challenges, interaction with the landscape and 100% fun. Discover Disc Golf - coming soon!
Disc Golf is basically golf without the clubs or balls. You simply throw the specially designed discs with the aim of getting them in baskets around the nine ‘hole’ course. Whoever completes the course with the least number of throws is the winner.

Strolling, running or cycling on miles of traffic-free surfaced pathways country trails, exploring history, encountering all kinds of wildlife – River Lee Country Park offers so many different walking and cycling experiences you’ll be spoilt for choice.

At Lee Valley Boat Centre you can experience the river by hiring a canoe, electric boat, rowboat or pedalo. Maybe the idea of cruising in a narrow boat or passenger vessel appeals – you can even enjoy a relaxed meal aboard, or hire a boat for a big occasion.
And don’t miss the incredible Lee Valley White Water Centre – the only London 2012 venue open to the public before the Games. This is where you can ride the rapids in a white water raft.

Adventurers will also love the multi activity outdoor centre at Herts Young Mariners Base, Cheshunt. Here you can learn canoeing, sailing, climbing and caving all at one superbly equipped location.
